Summer is here—and while most people are thinking about beach days and travel plans, smart singers know it’s the perfect season to invest in their voice! With a break from school, fewer commitments, and more flexibility in your schedule, summer opens the door to real vocal growth. Here’s why summer voice lessons can be your secret weapon for success!

More Time = More Focus
Without the hustle and bustle of school (whether it's you or taking your kids back and forth), recitals, or back-to-back rehearsals, summer offers something few of us get during the rest of the year: mental space! With fewer demands on your schedule, you can focus more deeply on your vocal technique, take the time to master new songs, and make meaningful progress just by taking the leap and starting your vocal lessons!
A Head Start for Fall Auditions
Planning to audition for a show, choir, college, or vocal program in the fall? Summer is the perfect time to start building your audition book, memorizing challenging foreign language repertoire, and cleaning up your technique!
Starting early means you’ll walk into those auditions prepared and polished—not panicked. Plus, your teacher can help with tactics to help calm any nerves come audition season.
Stay Vocally Conditioned
Just like athletes stay in shape during the off-season, singers need to keep their vocal muscles active. Taking the summer off from singing can lead to vocal fatigue, loss of stamina, and having to “rebuild” technique come fall (which no one wants!). Summer lessons keep you in shape so you return strong and stage-ready!
Use Your Travel & Free Time Creatively
Voice lessons don’t always have to happen in a traditional studio- and here at VBC, they don’t! We offer virtual sessions that you can take from anywhere—your beach house, your hotel, or even your backyard. This means that even while you’re doing summer traveling, you can keep up with your lessons and technique!
Join Our End-of-Summer Virtual Show!
Love working towards a goal? Then you’ll want to take lessons this summer so you can participate in our virtual show August 8th and 9th! This is a closed event for current students of VBC where our awesome singers can showcase their skills in a low-stakes, supportive environment. Current students of VBC are already working on their rep for the show- so why not join us?
