Associate Voice Teacher

Julia Giattino holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Music Education with a concentration in voice from Western Connecticut State University. She is classically trained by active musical theater and opera performers and most recently won 2nd place in the National Association for Teachers of Singing regional competition. During her time at WCSU, she has had the opportunity to sing a variety of roles including First Spirit in Mozart's The Magic Flute, Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, and Euridice in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice. Julia has performed with a variety of vocal ensembles such as the WCSU Chamber Singers and University Choir where she stood as the Alto Section Leader. She also had the opportunity to play clarinet in WCSU’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble where she was also a featured vocal soloist. Currently, Julia works as a K-5 General Music teacher in Connecticut. She served as the Vice President to her university's American Choral Directors Association chapter and actively attends masterclasses, workshops, and conferences to better serve her students. 

Julia is well trained and experienced in working with all different voice types, genres, ages and ability levels. She is very excited to have the opportunity to work with her students and watch them grow their musicianship.
