JILIAN
Associate Voice Teacher
Jilian Saber-Burnett holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Connecticut State University, with a Master’s in Choral Conducting from Messiah University. Jilian has taught music professionally for eight years, and has conducted several choirs throughout Fairfield County. Jilian is also classically trained in piano, plays drums, guitar, ukulele, recorder, and autoharp. She also has absolute (perfect) pitch. Currently, she is the Master Cantor and a Choral Section Leader at Saint Peter Church in Danbury, CT. She also directs and serves as sole Music Instructor at the Saint Paul Church and Christian School in Westport, CT.
A former member of the Fairfield County Children’s Choir Chamber Singers, Jilian has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, with the USMA/Army Band at West Point, as well as in international venues, primarily in Europe and Canada. She was also the original soprano at First Congregational Church in Ridgefield, Connecticut for the first ever WCSU/FCC Internship Program.
Previously, Jilian held teaching positions at D’Valda and Sirico Dance and Music Centre and Route 7 Music, both located in Connecticut. She also served as the Assistant Choral Director for the Nelly Golletti Choristers from Saint Peter School and taught introductory music and movement classes with Mary Ann Hall’s Music For Children in Norwalk, CT.
